Republicans Bring Up NASA, Always a Bad Decision

This lovely bit of infographicism was just released by House Speaker John Boehner’s (R-jokes in poor taste) office, and it criticizes the Senate’s lack of official budget for the past four years.  Technically, they’ve only passed stopgap measures throughout the Obama presidency instead of laying out an official budget.


Speaker Boehner’s hilaaaaaarious joke about this whole thing is that in four years, one could make 179 round trips to the moon.  Except you can’t anymore, as Republicans have continuously voted to zero out NASA funding as much as possible.


The Speaker should probably know better than to shoot himself in the foot a few times.  I guess now we know what he told Michelle Obama.
