Wikimedia/NOAA

Finally, science has brought us something useful, for once.   Underwater microphones near Puako, Hawaii, are now streaming live the songs of humpback whales used to attract mates.  The microphones, also known as hydrophones since they sit underwater, sit at a depth of about 60 feet, which is coincidentally where I do all of my singing.

Please try to ignore the fact you are essentially listening to hours of pick-up lines in late-night dive bars.
