Death of a Cyborg

I really like this digital image, created by Debra Mason, aka  Shorra.  Entitled “Death of a Cyborg,” it is a takeoff of the painting originally by William-Adolphe Bougeureau entitled “Premier Deuil” or “The First Mourning,” in English:

The original painting can be found hanging in the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  According to Wikipedia, it depicts the moment when Adam and Eve found the body of their son Abel, who was murdered by his brother Cain, and was the first recorded human death in the Bible.

I would want to hang the new version in my house, so people think there’s something weird going on with me.
